HANDMADE BY INMATES
Inmates in the prisons of Copenhagen have in collaboration with Christina Meyer Bengtsson created a unique line of Holiday decorations.
“Fnugget” (the fluff) is folded by hand in different shapes and can be hung on the Christmas tree or in the window. The fluffs are created out of high quality tapestry which has been donated to the project by Boråstapeter and Mr. Perswall
The collection also consists of little folded picture frames for photographs or drawings of someone you care about. The frame can also be hung on the tree or in the window, to send a thought to our loved ones, that of various reason aren’t with us on Christmas Eve.
SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE
All proceeds from the collection goes to activities for the inmates and their children.
A PART OF AN AMBITIOUS RESOCIALISATION PROJECT
Handmade by Inmates arises from the project “Cooking Schools in Danish Prisons” that Meyers Madhus in Copenhagen run with the Prison and Probation Services and is funded by Trygfonden. Within this program, inmates are given competence qualifying gastronomical education in three prisons on Sealand, Denmark, to open the doors to a new life with employment and without crime.
